Mark leads business development for Murray Devine in the New York metropolitan market. Mark leverages his more than 20 year background in senior investment sales and the capital markets roles across multiple asset classes and strategies in both the public and private markets to grow Murray Devine’s New York business. Mark’s primary clients include alternative investment firms including private equity, private debt, hedge fund, and real estate funds in addition to banks, law firms, insurance companies and other financial intermediaries.
Prior to Murray Devine, Mr. Emrich was a Managing Director at Anagenesis Capital Partners, LLC a New York based healthcare and consumer private credit investment firm where he focused on business development as well as developing strategic relationships with institutional investors, including pension plans, fund-of-funds, consultants, and family offices. Before Anagenesis, Mark led business development for Pembroke Hobson, LLC, a real estate private equity investment firm. At Pembroke Hobson, Mr. Emrich was responsible for sourcing investment capital from institutional investors, and overseeing development of joint-venture, co-invest, or fund platforms with strategic partners.
Prior to Pembroke Hobson, Mr. Emrich was a Director and senior investment salesperson at Scotiabank providing covering pension, mutual, and hedge funds in the US. Before Scotiabank, Mr. Emrich was an Executive Director in the Institutional Equities Group at CIBC where he oversaw the High Yield Equities Group and held various positions in CIBC’s sales, trading, and research group from 2003-2008. Mr. Emrich began his career at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. working in relationship management and trading roles within fixed income asset management.
Mr. Emrich earned his M.B.A. from the New York University’s Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Keene State College.
