Hamish currently leads PwC’s EMEA Restructuring business and is responsible for Credit Fund coverage across the UK Deals platform. He joined PwC from Rothschild in 2015, after 18 years in global financial advisory. He has a background in debt restructuring, debt advisory, valuation and M&A advisory. Since joining PwC he has led transactions in the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Benelux, Poland and Turkey. He has completed >100 transactions in his career to date. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and French. Relevant experience Selected experience includes advising both companies, lenders and special situations investors on a wide range of transactions, including:

● Large multi-stakeholder restructurings: Nakheel ($21bn A&E, $7bn of new money commitment); Bereket Enerji ($4.5bn debt, $500m new money, A&E across 38 bilateral facilities); Endemol (€2.1bn, advised hedge funds on debt restrx)

● Term debt restructurings: AS Adventure, Spearhead, Bartec, Work Service, Ferretti, KCA Deutag, Marken, Almatis, PHS, Delsey, etc.

● Bondholder restructurings: Towergate Insurance ($1bn, SSN/SUN dual scheme debt for equity); House of Fraser (£250m prepack sale to strategic); Travelex (£500m new money restrx, debt for equity); Young’s Seafood (£220m distressed sale below par to PE); Johnston Press (£220m, debt for equity; also listed equity); Blue City ($1bn discounted cash tender)
