David Waxman has over 30 years experience as an Investor in Alternative Asset Fund Managers and a Direct Investor High-Growth Companies, as a Strategic & Placement Advisor to leading Private Equity & Private Credit Funds, as a General Partner/Equity Sponsor and as a Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of high-growth Technology companies.<br><br>
Over the past fifteen years since founding Azla Advisors, Mr. Waxman has been responsible over $7 bln in Private Markets & Hedge fundraisings & other transaction on behalf of top tier Managers and leading Institutional Investors.<br><br>
Prior to founding Azla Advisors in 2006, Mr. Waxman served as a Managing Director of Equip Ventures’ Advisory Group where he advised Institutional Limited Partners on the divestment of private equity portfolios on the secondary market, and led the acquisition and management of several direct secondary portfolios. Mr. Waxman also served as a General Partner and Equity Sponsor at Equip Ventures, which he co-founded with Mark Goros, one of the co-founders of Broadvision and early team members at Oracle. Mr. Waxman previously served as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at a Venture Capital fund backed by Sevin Rosen, Canaan Partners and Rho Management and earlier in his career served as CEO of two high-growth technology companies which generated M&A exits.<br><br>
Mr. Waxman received an MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business Stern School in 1990, where he was a member of the select International Management Exchange Program, and has since served as a Guest Lecturer and received a Bachelors degree with Honors from Yeshiva University in 1986. He also was certified as a CPA in the State of NY in 1988.<br><br>
Mr. Waxman is a frequent conference speaker and panel moderator as well as a contributor to Private Equity & Private Credit publications.<br><br>
